Ghana generated an estimated US$4.34 billion from 1.3 million international tourist arrivals in 2025, as the tourism, culture and creative arts sector recorded growth across several key areas, according to Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Dzifa Abla Gomashie.
Speaking at the Government Accountability Series on Monday, the Minister outlined developments and achievements since assuming office, noting that international tourist arrivals rose from 1,288,804 in 2024 to 1,306,962 in 2025. Domestic tourism also expanded by 7 per cent, increasing from 1.68 million visits to 1.79 million visits over the same period.
Hon. Gomashie emphasized that the sector’s performance reflects Ghana’s growing appeal as a destination for both international and domestic visitors, while underscoring the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in reporting progress across key sectors of the economy.
