ECG Announces Power Outages for Accra West Maintenance Works

 The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned maintenance exercises in the Accra West Region this week, which will result in temporary power outages across several communities.

According to ECG, the works are part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and ensure reliable electricity supply. The outages will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on scheduled days.

The affected areas include:

  • Monday, August 10, 2026 — Nyamekye, Mab Hospital, Darkuman, and surrounding areas.
  • Tuesday, August 11, 2026 — ACP Estate, Aboum, Tabora Nos. 3–6, Alhaji Trotro Station, Tantra Hill, Lartebiorkorshie Methodist, Yasako Press, Doblo, Bungalow, Hebron, Medie, Samsam, Korleman, and surrounding areas.
  • Wednesday, August 12, 2026 — Akweteyman, Amasaman, and surrounding areas.

ECG has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to customers, assuring that the maintenance works are necessary to strengthen the distribution network and reduce unplanned outages.

The company has encouraged residents in the affected communities to take note of the schedules and make alternative arrangements during the period of interruption.
