Ghana Medical Trust Fund Donates Oxygen Concentrators to Tamale Teaching Hospital NICU

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund has donated five oxygen concentrators, including one mobile unit, to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Tamale Teaching Hospital, bolstering the facility’s capacity to deliver lifesaving care to newborns.

The equipment, generously provided by Rikair Company Limited, is expected to enhance the NICU’s ability to support infants requiring oxygen therapy. While the five concentrators will augment existing resources, the mobile concentrator will provide critical support during emergencies and ensure the safe transfer of patients within the hospital.

Hospital officials noted that as demand for critical care continues to rise, contributions such as these strengthen the institution’s ability to respond swiftly when every minute matters. The donation underscores the importance of partnerships in improving neonatal outcomes and expanding access to timely, lifesaving oxygen therapy.

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund expressed gratitude to Rikair for its generosity, describing the gesture as a vital investment in safeguarding the lives of vulnerable patients.
