Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been hailed as a visionary leader, with supporters insisting he possesses the qualities needed to transform Ghana if given the mandate as president.
This endorsement came from 22 out of 25 electoral area coordinators in Assin South, who publicly declared their backing for Dr. Bawumia to remain the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate for the 2028 elections.
“We are electoral area coordinators from Assin South and our message is that we have seen the goodness in Dr. Bawumia so we have all decided to back him to be our party’s flagbearer again,” said the group’s spokesperson, surrounded by fellow coordinators.
They praised his track record as Vice President, noting that many of his initiatives continue to benefit the nation.
“We have seen that Dr. Bawumia is blessed with the vision to transform our country. So many good things he did when he served as Vice President are today benefiting the country, even under the NDC government.”
The coordinators clarified that out of their total membership of 25, two were absent and one had passed away, leaving 22 present to pledge their support.
“We, the coordinators, are 25 in number. Only 2 are not with us, and one has passed away, so the remaining 22 are here to pledge our support for Dr. Bawumia to lead our party to victory and transform this country.”
