The Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has delivered a moving tribute to fallen members of the Ghana Armed Forces and other public servants, emphasizing that their contributions to nation-building will never be forgotten.
In her address, she praised their clarity of purpose and commitment to duty, noting that even brief conversations revealed their deep resolve to serve Ghana faithfully.
She fondly remembered ongoing collaborations, including an outstanding meeting with the late Omane on the Armed Forces Council, where both pledged to streamline national agendas and work with urgency.
“You had a positive reaction to working more closely with me. I was even more excited to learn from you,” she said. Ending with a poetic reflection, she quoted Bernadette Yeh: “The dead are not beneath the earth… they are in the home, everywhere.” The Vice President called on all Ghanaians to honour these legacies by continuing the work of national renewal.
