Dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah, widely known as Shatta Wale, has extended heartfelt appreciation to his supporters, management team, and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following his release from custody on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
The musician regained his freedom after fulfilling updated bail requirements, which saw his initial GH₵10 million bail reduced to GH₵5 million, accompanied by two sureties. As part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged irregular acquisition of a Lamborghini Urus, Shatta Wale is now obligated to report to EOCO three times weekly.
In a touching message shared via Instagram Live , Shatta Wale expressed gratitude to all who stood by him during the challenging period.
“I want to say thank you to my management team… Everybody has been supportive with this and to you the fans, I owe you a beautiful concert one of these days because you guys have been supportive,” he said in a live video on Instagram..
He also acknowledged the dedication of fans who gathered outside EOCO’s offices during his detention.
“I heard some of you came there from morning and you didn’t want to leave but as you have seen my video you should know Shatta is safe, your king is safe, One Don is safe. I am home now and I want to say a big thank you for supporting me, for being around me in times like this because I needed you guys the most. You guys are the ones that hold me down,” he added.
Shatta Wale went on to commend EOCO personnel for their professionalism and respectful handling of the situation.
“To all the staff of EOCO, you guys have been wonderful. At least I came there, you guys really took me through the rightful processes that were needed and I just want to say God bless you,” he said.
He also gave special thanks to EOCO’s Executive Director, Mr. Raymond Archer, for his empathetic and fair approach.
“To Mr. Raymond Archer, I just want to tell you I thank you so much for your understanding. I thank you so much for cooperating.”
