The Akwatia District Police Command has commenced investigations into an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman, which reportedly occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Akwatia.
According to a statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Eastern South Regional Police Command, the complainant was promptly issued a Police Medical Form to seek treatment at a health facility. The form is expected to be endorsed and returned to the police to aid further inquiries.
The case has since been escalated to the Eastern South Regional Police Command for deeper investigations, as authorities seek to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In the release signed by DSP David Hanko Okyere, the police assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice is served and urged anyone with relevant information to assist the ongoing investigation.
