The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with a viral video showing a woman assaulting a man.
According to a statement, the arrests were carried out on Thursday, November 27, 2025, by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
The female suspect, identified as Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was picked up at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region. A second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was also arrested at Nkawie in the Ashanti Region for his alleged involvement in the incident.
Police say both suspects are currently in custody, while efforts are underway to apprehend three other individuals believed to be connected to the assault and who remain at large.
The Service assured the public of its commitment to ensuring justice. “We will continue to pursue all perpetrators until they are brought before the law,” the statement emphasized.
The arrests come after widespread public outrage over the video, which circulated on social media earlier this week.
