Police Arrest Six in Juaso Robbery and Gang Rape Syndicate

The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested six suspects believed to be members of a robbery and gang rape syndicate operating in Juaso.

The suspects, identified as David Adusah alias Vibes, Samuel Amantor alias Road, Andrew Odei alias Salinco, Sharif Mohammed alias Isco, Joseph Addo alias Moves, and Chidi Arinze alias Orga Happiness, were picked up on 8th January 2026 during an intelligence-led operation.

Searches conducted at their residences uncovered forty-nine mobile phone covers, a bayonet case, a green dress resembling a military uniform, and a photograph showing the alleged leader of the group in military-style camouflage. Police also retrieved and impounded a Toyota RAV4 vehicle believed to have been used in their operations.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted their involvement in the reported cases. They were subsequently arraigned on 12th January 2026 and remanded into lawful custody. The court ordered them to reappear on 28th January 2026 to allow Police to complete investigations.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that investigations are ongoing and pledged that all persons found culpable will face the full rigours of the law.
