Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana Sets February 16 Deadline for Hajj Passport Submissions

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced Monday, February 16, 2026, as the final deadline for the submission of Ghanaian passports by all prospective Hajj pilgrims.

In a press release issued on February 12, PAOG emphasized that the directive applies to all individuals who have completed payment for the 2026 Hajj, regardless of their payment method or processing arrangement.

The passports are required for onward visa processing at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. PAOG warned that failure to meet the deadline would result in disqualification from this year’s pilgrimage.

The deadline, communicated by Saudi authorities, is part of a fast-track schedule and must be strictly adhered to. PAOG is working with the Passport Office to expedite processing for applicants who require urgent passport services.

Signed by Communications Director Alhaji Mohammed Amin Lamptey Hussein, the release urged all prospective pilgrims to act promptly and assured stakeholders of PAOG’s commitment to a smooth and timely visa submission process.
