The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared that its National Delegates Conference will be held on December 19, 2026, to select new national executives.
Addressing journalists at a press briefing on Thursday, the party’s General Secretary, Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, stated that the internal polls would adopt a bottom-up process—starting at the branch level, progressing through constituency and regional structures, and concluding at the national stage.
He indicated that nomination submissions would run from Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9, 2026, with the screening of candidates slated for Thursday, November 12, and Friday, November 13, 2026.
According to him, “Appeals will be done on Sunday, November 15 and Monday, 16th of November, 2026. Then, for the youth and women conference, we are looking at Saturday, the 12th December 2026.”
He further announced, “That congress will happen on Saturday, the 19th December, 2026.”
Mr. Kwetey clarified that the exercise is part of the party’s wider efforts to restructure and fortify its organization ahead of the 2028 national elections.
“So that completes the very important edifice that is supposed to prepare for the next round of fighting for the power in the country and also ensure that we continue the good job that we are doing.”
