Fans of Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be offered the opportunity to select the design of the jerseys the club will use under its new kit sponsorship with Italian sportswear giants Erreà.
In a post on social media, the club said it will soon announce a code for fans to select the new kits from four jerseys.
The development comes after the club announced a three-year partnership with Erreà for the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons today.
The Kumasi-based club had signed a three-year deal with Strike, a kit manufacturing company owned by Club Consult Africa in 2018 but unilaterally terminated the contract with a promise to announce a new “befitting” kit sponsor soon.
“Asante Kotoko wishes to inform our stakeholders and the general public that the kits supply sponsorship and purchase agreement signed with Club Consult Africa has been terminated with immediate effect,” the press release revealed.
“We wish to assure our most cherished stakeholders that a new befitting kits sponsor will not only be announced shortly but our fans will be given the opportunity to select their preferred design for the 2020/21 football season.”
