Reading defender Baba Rahman is pleased with his World Cup debut, calling it a “great experience.”
The left-back made three appearances for the Black Stars in Qatar, where they were eliminated in the first round after only one win in the group stage.
Rahman earned his 50th cap for the Black Stars in last Friday’s 2-0 loss to Uruguay, which confirmed the four-time African champions’ elimination from the tournament.
The 28-year-old has returned to Reading as they prepare for their Championship match against Coventry on Saturday.
Speaking to the club’s media channel, Rahman said, “It [the World Cup] was a great experience. I really loved it”
“It was a nice experience playing against them [Cristiano Ronaldo and Son Heung-min] but I’ve played against Son several times when we played in Germany so it was a nice experience” he added.
