The Inspector‑General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has decorated Inspector Hance Atubra of the Tarkwa Divisional Headquarters with his new rank of Chief Inspector, following his promotion for bravery in saving lives during a fire outbreak at Aboso in the Western Region.
Inspector Atubra was invited to the National Police Headquarters in Accra, where the IGP personally conferred the honour in recognition of his exceptional courage and dedication to duty. His swift response during the August 26 incident helped protect lives and property, earning him commendation from the Police Administration.
The IGP praised Chief Inspector Atubra’s actions as exemplifying the values of professionalism, service, and integrity expected of officers of the Ghana Police Service. He urged personnel across the Service to emulate such commitment in safeguarding communities nationwide.
The promotion underscores the Service’s resolve to reward outstanding performance and reinforce morale among officers engaged in frontline duties.
