Helicopter Crash: Bawumia Mourns Tragic Loss of Ministers and Others

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia took to Facebook earlier today to express his profound sorrow over the tragic loss of two Ministers of State and six others who perished in a helicopter crash.

In his heartfelt Facebook post, Dr. Bawumia extended his deepest condolences to the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, describing the incident as “heart-wrenching” and a painful moment for the nation.

“The fallen men paid the ultimate price in the service of our motherland, leaving a shocked nation in pain,” he wrote.

Dr. Bawumia noted that he personally knew most of the deceased and is deeply saddened by their untimely demise under what he called “such horrid circumstances.”

He added that he, along with his wife Samira, the entire Bawumia family, and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stand in solidarity with the bereaved families, the government, and the people of Ghana in mourning this national tragedy.

“May the good Lord grant the bereaved families, the Government and people of Ghana strength and healing in this time of tragedy,” the post concluded.
