GSA and Gold Board Partner to Standardize Gold Scales Nationwide

The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and the Ghana Gold Board have held a strategic meeting to advance a new national initiative aimed at standardizing and calibrating gold scales across the country.

The collaboration is expected to ensure accurate measurement, fair pricing for both miners and buyers, and greater transparency across the gold value chain. Officials noted that the programme represents a major step toward strengthening trust and improving the integrity of gold trading nationwide.

The Ghana Gold Board reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the GSA to make the initiative a success, stressing that the programme will benefit all stakeholders who rely on Ghana’s gold industry.

By setting clear standards and enforcing calibration nationwide, the initiative is poised to enhance confidence in Ghana’s gold sector and reinforce its reputation as a global leader in responsible resource management.
