GoldBod Jewellery Limited has launched Ghana’s first-ever 24-hour digital gold showroom, opening up instant global access to the nation’s finest handcrafted jewellery and investment-grade gold tablets.
The new e-commerce platform, jewellery.goldbod.gov.gh, was unveiled by Managing Director, Getrude Emefa Donkor, who described the initiative as a bold step toward ending Ghana’s long-standing reliance on exporting raw gold only to import finished jewellery.
“Our retooled operations now focus on transforming Ghanaian gold into world-class products made entirely by Ghanaian artisans,” Donkor said, emphasizing the company’s commitment to value addition and local craftsmanship.
The showroom offers customers across the world a seamless digital experience, showcasing premium collections that highlight Ghana’s rich heritage in gold artistry while positioning the country as a competitive player in the global luxury market.
Industry observers note that the platform could mark a turning point in Ghana’s jewellery sector, creating new opportunities for artisans, boosting exports of finished products, and reinforcing the country’s reputation as a hub for innovation in gold craftsmanship.
