GoldBod CEO Honoured with Historic Suma Adinkra Sword

GoldBod Chief Executive Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, Esq., has been conferred with the prestigious Suma Adinkra Sword by the Suma Traditional Council, marking a historic recognition of his leadership and contributions to Ghana’s mining sector.

The ceremony, presided over by Paramount Chief Odeneho Dr. Affram Brempong III, celebrated Gyamfi’s outstanding stewardship at the Ghana Gold Board, where his initiatives have been credited with strengthening the industry and delivering positive impact nationwide.

In his acceptance remarks, Gyamfi dedicated the honour to the entire GoldBod team, urging them to continue their hard work and commitment to advancing Ghana’s development. “This recognition is not mine alone—it belongs to every member of GoldBod who strives daily for excellence and for Ghana,” he said.

The Suma Adinkra Sword, a revered symbol of excellence and authority, has been awarded to exceptional leaders for more than 470 years. Past recipients include former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and John Dramani Mahama, underscoring the weight of the distinction.

This latest conferment places GoldBod and its leadership among Ghana’s most celebrated institutions, reinforcing the company’s role in national progress and global recognition.
