Ghana’s Economy Records 3.8% Growth in October 2025

Ghana’s economy expanded by 3.8% in October 2025, marking a notable improvement over the 3.0% growth recorded in the same period last year, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).

The figures, released as part of the Monthly Indicator of Economic Growth (MIEG), reflect increased production of goods and services across key sectors.

Government Statistician, Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu, explained that the October performance signals stronger economic momentum, adding that “the economy produced more goods and services this October than it did one year ago.”

The MIEG is a critical tool used to track short-term economic trends and guide policy decisions. The GSS reaffirmed its commitment to providing timely and accurate data to support national development efforts.
