The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has officially launched the 2026 edition of National Chocolate Month at the Nationalism Park in Accra, marking the start of a month-long celebration of Ghana’s cocoa heritage and chocolate excellence.
The initiative, which has become a flagship event on Ghana’s cultural calendar, is designed to promote local consumption of chocolate and cocoa-based products while highlighting the country’s global reputation as a leading cocoa producer.
National Chocolate Month will feature a series of activities across the country, including exhibitions, tastings, educational campaigns, and tourism events aimed at showcasing the economic, cultural, and health benefits of cocoa. The program also seeks to encourage innovation in cocoa processing and strengthen the link between Ghana’s agricultural sector and its tourism industry.
The GTA emphasized that the celebration is not only about promoting chocolate consumption but also about honoring the hardworking cocoa farmers whose contributions sustain Ghana’s economy and global standing in the cocoa trade.
