The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that participants attending the upcoming Diaspora Summit 2025 will receive free entry visas ahead of the event scheduled for December 19–20 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The Ministry stated that the decision fulfills a pledge made during the summit’s media launch, emphasizing Ghana’s commitment to strengthening Pan-African cooperation and building lasting partnerships with Africans and people of African descent around the world.
Prospective participants have been advised to visit the nearest Ghana Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate in their country of residence to process the complimentary visas before travelling.
According to the statement, the gesture is intended to encourage wide participation in the summit, which will focus on unity, shared development, and global African collaboration. Online registration for the event must be completed by Monday, December 8, 2025, through the official summit website.
The Ministry also highlighted existing reciprocal visa waiver agreements. Citizens of several countries—holding specific passport categories—will not require visas to enter Ghana. Holders of all passport types from countries including Barbados, Bahamas, Dominica, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Singapore, Jamaica, Rwanda, Morocco, Guyana, and others are exempt.
Additionally, holders of diplomatic, official, and service passports from nations such as Brazil, China, Germany, Türkiye, Hungary, Iran, Equatorial Guinea, and the United Arab Emirates also enjoy visa-free entry.
The Ministry encouraged all participants to promptly engage Ghana Missions abroad to complete required processes and reassured the public of the government’s commitment to hosting a successful and impactful summit.
Further information is available through the summit website or via the Ministry’s official communication channels.
