Ghana did not vote to suspend Russia from UN -Human Right  Council

Thursday, April 7, the United Nations ( UN ) General Assembly voted to suspend Russia from the UN Human Rights Council over reports of horrible and periodic infringements and mishandling of benevolent liberties in Ukraine.

The resolution which took place received a two-thirds majority of members voting, minus abstentions in the 193 member committee with 93 nations voting in favour and 24 against. 58 countries including Ghana refuse to partake in the procedure.

some countries who voted for  Russia include , Cuba, China, Syria, North Korea, Vietnam, and Iran among others. Abstaining countries include South Africa, Brazil, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Qatar, Iraq, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Mexico, and Indonesia.

According to a Reuters news report sighted by Baina tv, the following outcome of the resolution, Moscow declared it was resigning from the association.

Russian deputy UN ambassador Gennady Kuzmin interpreted the motion as an unlawful and political stimulated effort and then declared that Russia had agreed to resign from the benevolent liberties committee completely. He said after the vote.
