Ghana Bids Farewell to Palestinian Ambassador After 11 Years of Service

On behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, a farewell meeting was held to honor the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari.

The meeting, which took place in Accra, was attended by the Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Her Excellency Varsen Aghabekian, and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson.

Ambassador Al Sattari’s departure marks the conclusion of eleven years of distinguished diplomatic service in Ghana. During his tenure, he was recognized for his consistency, warmth, and dedication in strengthening ties between Ghana and Palestine. His efforts left a positive imprint on bilateral relations, fostering cooperation and mutual understanding.

In remarks delivered on behalf of President Mahama, Ghana expressed deep appreciation for Ambassador Al Sattari’s contributions and the cordial manner in which he carried out his responsibilities. “We thank Ambassador Al Sattari for his service. We wish him well as he continues his journey, and we remain confident that the bonds he has helped to strengthen between our nations will endure,” the statement read.

Ambassador Al Sattari departs Ghana with the goodwill of the government and people, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and collaboration that is expected to continue shaping relations between the two countries.
