On the night of 9th April 2022, some 3 young men on a motorbike snatched a bag of money from a guy on the streets of Akatsi in the volta region.The victim whose name has been withheld and from Dzodze reported to the police station.

The subsequent morning, some 3 young men were spotted on a motorcycle, the police halted them but they declined. they were then hunted by the police Van, on their attempt to circumvent a route along with the Akatsi College of Education, they fall and were apprehended.

An inquiry was executed on them and an unspecified amount of money was found with 7 mobile phones. As they were been transmitted to the station to assist conduct investigations, the youth attempted to deter the police, which yields in a battle.

in that chaotic occurrence, a guy was shot in his lower abdomen while rushing him to the hospital he departed.
the youth of Akatsi stormed the police station attempting to orchestrate vengeance.
According to sources, the teenagers attacked the station following proceeded alleged police barbarity on some innocent youth leading to their death.
