The Ghana Health Service has confirmed 12 new cases of Mpox as of 18th January 2026, bringing the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 980.

No new deaths were recorded, with the cumulative death toll remaining at seven. One person is currently on admission receiving treatment.
Health officials continue to emphasize that Mpox spreads primarily through close contact with infected individuals and are urging the public to remain vigilant and adhere to preventive measures.
