Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has extended his annual support for education by awarding 50 tertiary scholarships to students preparing to return to school in January 2026.
The initiative, announced alongside his constituency’s Annual Christmas Party in Juapong, underscores the MP’s commitment to investing in the future of young people. More than 6,000 children attended the festive celebration, which has become a hallmark of his community engagement.
According to Hon. Ablakwa, the scholarships are part of broader efforts to ease the financial burden on families and ensure that talented students are not denied access to higher education due to economic challenges. Constituents hailed the gesture as timely, given the rising costs of tertiary education.
The MP emphasized that education remains central to his vision for North Tongu, noting that empowering students contributes to long-term development and prosperity for the constituency and the nation.
