GES Releases Feeding Grants and Perishables for Special and Senior High Schools

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of outstanding feeding grants for Special Schools and perishable items for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) across the country.

In a statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of GES and signed by Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the grants cover the 3rd Term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the 1st Term of the 2025/2026 academic year. Additionally, all outstanding perishables owed to SHS and SHTS for the period between July 29 and October 17, 2025, have been disbursed.

According to the release, funds have been successfully transferred into the respective accounts of all beneficiary institutions nationwide. Heads of schools are required to submit official receipts acknowledging the funds received to the Director-General through their Regional Accountants.

GES emphasized its commitment to supporting effective teaching, learning, and inclusive education, and called on all Heads of institutions to cooperate fully in ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of the funds.

This development is expected to ease operational challenges in Special Schools and SHS/SHTS, particularly in the provision of meals and essential supplies for students.
