The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has visited the Dansoman Market to commiserate with traders affected by the recent fire outbreak that destroyed several stalls and tragically claimed the life of an eight-year-old girl.

During her visit, Dr. Lartey interacted with affected traders and assured them of government’s commitment to support their recovery efforts. She emphasized that the Ministry would work closely with relevant agencies to provide coordinated relief and help traders rebuild and return to business.

The Minister also pledged psychosocial support for traders traumatized by the incident, noting that the Ministry stands ready to assist them in overcoming the emotional toll of the disaster.

In a deeply moving moment, Dr. Lartey visited the mother who lost her daughter in the fire, offering condolences and assuring the bereaved family of the Ministry’s support during this difficult period.
The visit underscored government’s resolve to stand with victims of disasters and ensure that vulnerable groups receive both practical and emotional assistance in times of crisis.
