Ghana, China Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through Security and Development Talks

 Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to deepening relations with China following a high-level dinner meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Tong Defa.

The meeting, held yesterday in Accra, focused on strengthening cooperation in key areas including security, infrastructure development, and capacity building. Both sides emphasized the importance of these initiatives in improving the lives of citizens and advancing mutual prosperity.

Hon. Mubarak described the engagement as “productive” and highlighted the longstanding and fruitful nature of Ghana-China relations. He noted that the discussions underscored a shared commitment to building a strong, respectful, and mutually beneficial partnership.

Officials from the Ministry of the Interior and the Chinese Embassy in Ghana were present at the dinner, further demonstrating the collaborative spirit underpinning the bilateral relationship.

The renewed momentum between Ghana and China is expected to pave the way for enhanced cooperation in national security, expanded infrastructure projects, and greater opportunities for skills development, reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two nations.
