The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
In a notice issued from the Office of the Speaker on October 8, 2025, Mr. Bagbin explained that the decision follows an earlier notice dated October 6, 2025, which deferred the commencement of the meeting.
The latest notice, issued pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, officially sets a new date for the meeting at Parliament House in Accra.
The Third Meeting is expected to deliberate on key legislative business, policy reviews, and other matters of national interest as the year draws to a close.
The Speaker’s notice emphasized Parliament’s readiness to resume its constitutional duties and provide oversight on governance matters affecting Ghanaians.
