Black Stars Set to Leave Accra for World Cup Qualifier in Chad

Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, will head to N’Djamena  today, September 2, for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Chad.

The squad has been preparing in Accra for this pivotal encounter, with head coach Otto Addo expected to travel alongside all 24 selected players.

With five victories and one defeat in their six games so far, the Black Stars are aiming for another win to strengthen their hold on Group I.

On Monday, twelve players participated in training at the Accra Sports Stadium, while the remaining members of the team are scheduled to join the group for Tuesday’s journey.

The team will hold a training session in N’Djamena on Wednesday, ahead of the match on Thursday.

Ghana will take on Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Otto Addo’s side currently tops Group I with 15 points from six matches, keeping them in a strong position to qualify for their fifth World Cup.

The Black Stars will conclude their qualifying campaign in October, with fixtures against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
