The Office of the President has released a public update detailing contributions made to the Tragedy Children Support Fund, established in the wake of the August 6 military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several high-ranking government officials.
According to the statement signed by Dr. Valerie Sawyer, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, donations received between August 19 and August 28, 2025, amount to GH¢3,576,600.00 and US$20,000.00.
The Fund was set up to provide long-term support for children affected by the tragic incident, which occurred in the Dampia Range Forest Reserve near Brofoyedru-Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofrom District.
Among the donors listed in the update are Ghana Airport Ltd., Samure Welfare Fund, Peter Addo-Mensah, Maasha Medical, Ensupl World Ltd., Ampem Darkoa PLC, Dufil Group, Debrah Insight, Rabito Bank Ghana PLC, AT Bank Ltd., GLICO General Insurance, and the National Insurance Commission.

The Presidency has encouraged individuals, corporate bodies, and institutions to continue supporting the Fund. Donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana, Stanbic Heights Branch, Accra, using the following account details:

Cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to CHILDREN SUPPORT FUND 6825.
Dr. Sawyer assured the public that all contributions will be published weekly to ensure transparency and accountability.
The Presidency expressed gratitude to all donors for their swift and generous response, noting that their support will go a long way in securing the future of the children left behind by the tragedy.
