GFA Reappoint Carlos Queiroz as Black Stars Head Coach

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that it has reached an agreement with veteran Portuguese tactician Carlos Queiroz for his appointment as Head Coach of the Black Stars for the next phase of the team’s programme.

Queiroz’s previous mandate, which included leading Ghana at the just‑concluded FIFA World Cup, ended a few weeks ago. Following discussions with the GFA and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, both parties agreed that he would embark on a new coaching mandate beginning with the upcoming international window.

In a statement, the GFA expressed confidence in Queiroz’s ability to steer the national team forward, citing his extensive international experience, technical expertise, and knowledge of the Black Stars as key assets for the next chapter.

Further details on the new mandate and the Black Stars’ upcoming programme are expected to be announced in due course, as the GFA and Coach Queiroz turn their focus to building a successful new phase for Ghana on the international stage.
