The Board and Management of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) have announced, with profound sorrow, the sudden passing of the Authority’s Deputy Chief Executive, Dr. Dramani Bukari.
In a statement, the Board and Management described his death as a great loss to the Authority, the downstream petroleum industry, and all who had the privilege of working with him.
“We are deeply saddened by his departure, but we take solace in the knowledge that he has returned to his Maker,” the statement said.
The Board and Management extended their heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of the late Deputy CEO, and to all those mourning his passing.
They prayed that the Almighty Allah grant strength, comfort and peace to all in this difficult time, and asked for eternal rest for their departed leader.
“May Allah grant our brother and leader Eternal Rest. Ameen,” the statement added.
Dr. Bukari, who held an MSc in Energy Economics and a PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies, was appointed Deputy CEO of the NPA in February 2025 alongside Dr. Sheila Addo. Before joining the Authority, he served as Director for Partnerships, Entrepreneurship and Investments at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre, Ashesi University, bringing over 16 years of experience as an Energy and Climate Change Specialist.
Details of funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
