President John Dramani Mahama has submitted new ministerial nominations and reassignments to Parliament in accordance with Article 78(1) of the Constitution.
The nominations include Dr. Zanetor Agyemang‑Rawlings, MP, for the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, and Mahama Ayariga, MP, for the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
In addition, President Mahama has reassigned Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei to the Ministry of Defense and Ahmed Ibrahim, MP, to the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources.
The nominations and reassignments were communicated through the Speaker of Parliament for prior approval. The announcement was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, Spokesperson to the President and Minister of Government Communications.
The changes form part of government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership across key sectors, ensuring effective delivery of policies and programmes. Parliament is expected to vet the nominees in the coming days.
