Parliament has referred the proposed amendments to the Legal Education Reform Bill, 2025, to the Winnowing Committee for further consideration.

The referral was announced during proceedings in the House, with the Committee tasked to examine the suggested changes in detail and report back to Parliament. This step forms part of the legislative process, ensuring that all proposed revisions are thoroughly scrutinized before the Bill advances to the next stage.
The Legal Education Reform Bill, 2025, seeks to overhaul Ghana’s legal education framework, addressing issues of access, regulation, and quality standards in the training of lawyers. The Winnowing Committee’s report is expected to shape the final form of the legislation before it is passed into law.
