GoldBod Supports Community Groups, Medical Needs and Development Initiatives

The Special Intervention Programme Unit of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has provided financial assistance to selected individuals and organisations as part of efforts to support social development and empower communities across the country.

The support, presented as cash donations, was aimed at strengthening initiatives that promote inclusion, welfare and grassroots development. Beneficiaries included the Ghana Blind Sports Federation, which works to advance participation and excellence in parasports, and the Joberg Foundation, known for its role in community development and social welfare.

Also receiving support was Madam Helen Adu Yanney, who was given urgent medical assistance to undergo a critical surgical procedure.

In addition, the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, Hon. Mavis Kuukua Bissue, was supported to advance community-based initiatives within her constituency.

According to GoldBod, the interventions reflect its belief that national development is strongest when all citizens are given the opportunity and resources to thrive.

The Special Intervention Programme Unit said the initiative forms part of its broader commitment to improving lives, strengthening communities and promoting inclusive development across Ghana.
